Our vision is to build Rosewood Place…a missionary community for those who are coming, going, resting, and retiring. It will be a place for missionaries to refresh their vision and their intimate relationship with the Lord. Rosewood Place will also be a hub for networking, training, and a resource center for the practical needs of missionaries.
The Challenge - There are missionaries who do not have a support base or denomination to provide training, support, guidance, or resources for them to fulfill their calling. There are also missionaries who have returned from overseas and feel disconnected while in the United States, having left their hearts and lives in another land. And there are missionary families who are dealing with burnout, undergoing marital stress, or suffering with children in crisis, and they don't know where to turn.
The Solution - We want to provide a supportive environment for all missionaries, whether coming, going, or retiring, where they can find resources for body, soul, and spirit. Rosewood Place can provide a hub for missionaries to connect in either a formal or an informal setting. This generates opportunities for them to encourage and strengthen each other, share resources, form friendships, worship together and pray together. Whether a missionary needs solitude and rest, or fellowship and prayer, it will be their choice. Our desire is to help missionaries toward their purpose in the Lord, in the Body of Christ, and in their relationships.
The Results - Missionaries can find respect, rest, restoration, and refreshing. They can find resources for practical help, support, counsel, and encouragement. Missionaries can find opportunities to fellowship, to encourage and be encouraged, to "netweave", and revitalize their hope. Volunteers serving these missionaries will have the opportunity to discover the joy of serving these heroes of the faith and to learn life lessons from the very best.
Why and How to Pray for Missionaries - If you've gotten this far, you have a heart for missionaries whether you're a "sender" or "goer" or both. Click on the blue lettering to learn ways to pray for those on the front lines.
