missions
If you have not committed to being a missionary yet, but you're feeling a nudge, why not go on a short term mission? Or you're looking for a way to help missions from your home, town, or church. Here are some organizations that might work for you as you work for the Lord.
STEM International - provides mission trips, training, and publications.
World Vision - Sponsor a child, hold a unique fundraiser, knit for kids, build kits, or go on a mission trip in the U.S.
Interdenominational Training for missions work:
Studio - "A missionary training internship for compassionate people seeking to bring the Good News of Jesus to places where Christ isn’t known throughout the Muslim world. At Studio, we take learning beyond the confines of the classroom into the life of a local Muslim community. You’ll experience life-on-life interaction with Muslim immigrants and refugees as you implement what you're learning and have daily opportunities to love, serve and share with people in need. You’ll enjoy in-depth discussions with veteran missionaries. You’ll learn and practice proven skills that lead to greater fruitfulness and resiliency. You’ll make new friendships that last for a lifetime. And you’ll grow in your identity in Christ as you live out and share the Good News of Jesus Christ."
Youth With a Mission (YWAM) - Training base is in Kona on the Big Island in Hawaii. Discipleship Training School, mission trips throughout the world (including medical missions).
