MISSIONARY KIDS

You are a diverse, wonderful, amazing bunch! Although you may feel caught between two worlds, unsure of who you are, let me assure you...you are in a very unique position. You have the ability to stand as a bridge between two (or more) cultures, worlds, and people to bring greater understanding and compassion to the world. You know things that ordinary young people your age have never been exposed to, and it's so much fun waking them up to a wider, more interesting world than they have ever imagined. And you have lived it!

Missionary kids and young people need as much support as their parents do (if not more). You may have a very different way of viewing the world you live in, and that's okay! It's fun and a bit of a relief to discover there are lots of kids and young people that you can relate to, going through the same things you are and they've lived through it. Don't believe me? Check out these sites and tell me what you think in our Contact page. Let me know if you have any recommendations of websites or books, okay?
www.You Know You're a Missionary Kid When... Just some funny things that make MKs unique.

You Know You're A Missionary Kid If...is a "closed" FaceBook page (with a typo...You Know Your A Missionary
Kid If...) which is exclusively for MKs.

MKSafety Net is a vitally important website for missionary kids (MKs) and third-culture kids (TCKs) who have
experienced abuse from those claiming to be Christians. Their focus is advocacy, healing, and guidelines for Christian organizations to prevent abuse by their leaders.
